How PAN-India service coverage actually works
A UPS quote is easy to compare on price. Service coverage is harder to compare — until the day a unit trips at 2 a.m. in a branch office three states away from your head office. Here’s what to actually check before you sign.
Coverage is a map, not a marketing line
“PAN-India service” should mean a specific, checkable list of cities with technicians who can reach your site — not a national logo with three service centres behind it. Gurukrupa runs 145+ service centres with branch presence across Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata and Surat. Before signing with any vendor, ask for the actual branch list for the states you operate in — not a national average.
What “24/7 support” should include
24/7 support is only useful if it’s specific about what happens when you call:
- Is there a toll-free number staffed around the clock, or a ticket queue that gets triaged the next business day?
- What is the committed response time for a critical-load site versus a standard one?
- Is remote diagnostics available before a technician is dispatched, to cut time-to-resolution for issues that don’t need a site visit?
Our toll-free line (1800 1031 247) routes to 24/7 support regardless of which branch is nearest to you.
AMC coverage — what’s actually included
An annual maintenance contract should specify, in writing: number of preventive visits per year, parts covered versus billed separately, battery replacement terms, and response-time commitments for breakdown calls. A cheap AMC that excludes batteries — typically the component most likely to need replacement — isn’t actually cheap once you hit year three or four.
Why service network should factor into the purchase decision itself
The best UPS on paper is the wrong choice if nobody can service it near your site within a workable timeframe. For multi-site operators — a bank with branches, a QSR chain, a manufacturer with more than one plant — service network coverage should be evaluated with the same rigor as the technical specification, not treated as an afterthought once the equipment decision is already made.
Request a quote and we’ll confirm the nearest service centre and response commitment for your specific site as part of the proposal.
